Internet Explorer 4.0 required to run Desktop Components

To add a Desktop Component to your Active Desktop, you must be running Internet Explorer 4.0 with Shell Integration installed and the Active Desktop turned on.

If you haven't downloaded Internet Explorer 4.0 with Shell Integration installed, you can do so now, but be sure to read the warning before proceeding with the download instructions.

If you are running Internet Explorer 4.0 with Shell Integration installed, but the Active Desktop is turned off, follow these steps:

  1. Use your right mouse button to click the desktop.
  2. Click Active Desktop.
