Smart Toolbar knows which tools you need
The Platform Preview of Internet Explorer 4.0 includes an "intelligent" toolbar that recognizes
whether you're looking at an HTML page or files and folders. The Smart Toolbar automatically
reconfigures itself, adding and subtracting tools based on the type of file being displayed.
For example...
Why would you need a Stop button if you're looking
at a folder or file—you're not actually downloading anything. By the same token, you
don't need Cut and Paste buttons when you're viewing a Web page that you can't edit. The Smart
Toolbar makes the proper adjustments, but always gives you the options to navigate Forward and Back.
NOTE....
The Smart Address bar also knows the difference between your system directories and folders (\\), and an Internet or intranet address (//). Just type
where you want to go!
