Resources

The armies of Lasheron use several resources to supply their needs:  Flesh, Gold, Metal, Majik, and Lumber.

The main food supply in Lasheron is Jaklopes.   They are a small creature that live beneath the ground in holes that they dig.   There are a few other creatures that run wild in Lasheron, like horned lizards, that creatures will eat if they can catch them.

Gold, metal, and lumber are used mainly to construct buildings in Lasheron.  Gold and some metal are also used to train creatures in Lasheron's armies.  Gold is found in great quantity, in the gold ore in Lasheron.   Metal is an iron compound that can be found in Lasheron's iron ore and refined in a smelter.  Lumber mainly comes from the pine trees in Lasheron, but it can also be taken from various other trees.

Majik is used by wizards and sorcerers to cast the spells they know.  It is also used by wizard towers that have the ability to discharge a lightning bolt.  Majik is found mainly in small crystals, but majik users like to mine it from the mega majik crystals.

Repairing Buildings Button

Constructors have several purposes in a building.   First, they will speed up the construction of the building.  This does cost money.  Second, they can repair the building they are in when it comes under attack.   Third, they will increase the production of the slaves in that building.   Constructors will force slaves to bring in resources faster; hence, increasing your resources faster.  Finally, having constructors in a building will increase their life span.

Unit Attributes

Giving your unit an attribute can be very beneficial.   Some units can only have certain attributes.  Only units that cast spell can be conjurers and mages, and some units can not be undeveloped, such as the black mammoths.   Here is a list of what each attribute does:

Attribute

Hitpoints Armor Speed Vision Cost Build Time
Normal.BMP (2136 bytes)Normal --- --- --- --- --- ---
Undeveloped.BMP (2136 bytes)Undeveloped -90% -100% --- -50% -75% -75%
Engineer.BMP (2136 bytes)Engineer* --- --- --- --- +100% +100%
Recon.BMP (2136 bytes)Recon --- --- +50% +60% +100% +50%
Rabid.BMP (2136 bytes)Rabid** --- --- +50% --- +50% +100%
Berserker.BMP (2136 bytes)Berserker*** +50% -100% +50% --- +50% +50%
Warrior.BMP (2136 bytes)Warrior +80% +50% +20% +10% +50% +100%
Gladiator.BMP (2136 bytes)Gladiator +10% +200% +30% --- +50% +100%

Conjurer.BMP (2136 bytes)Conjurer**** +50% --- --- --- +100% +50%
Mage.BMP (2136 bytes)Mage***** --- --- --- --- +50% +100%

* Engineers build 25% faster than normal constructors and their buildings cost 25% less to build.

** Rabid creatures inflict 100% more short range attack damage.

*** Berserkers get a 50% increase in their short range attack damage.

**** Conjurers spells cost 50% less to cast, and conjurer can cast spells 10% faster.

***** Mages can cast spells 25% faster than a normal wizard or sorcerer.

Undeveloped units are fast to produce, but they do not have very good attributes.  Most undeveloped units can be killed with a single shot.  Create undeveloped units when you can not afford a regular one or you need a unit real fast.

Recon units will give your overall vision a nice boost.

Rabid and berserker units are good if your army is out of ammunition.

Warrior units are not as good as elite units, but the cost to train and build a warrior is a good deal.

Gladiators survive longer because of a 200% increase of their armor.

Elite units have twice the hitpoints as a regular unit, but the cost to train an elite unit is twice the cost as a regular unit, and the the time to train an elite unit is 150% greater.

Conjurers can save valuable majik, but they cost double to train.

Mages can cast spells faster and are cheaper to train than conjurers, but they take twice as long to train than a normal unit.

Gather Resource

If you run out of food and you cannot produce any more with your packing plants, you can start looking for jaklopes or horned lizards.   You can get some food by gathering any of these animals.  The horned lizards give you more food, but they are harder to catch because of their speed.  Using a recon unit such as a jakkal or drakkan lizard will make the gathering job easier and faster.

Creating Units

You can create units two different ways.  The normal create just trains one unit at a time.  The create six pack trains six units at once.  There are a few drawbacks when creating a six pack, though.  All six units have to be the same type of unit with the same attribute.  Also, it takes longer to produce six at a time.  This limits what you can do in a cloning plant or weapons factory.  If you need to buy slaves or increase production in a weapons factory, you have to wait or cancel your units that are being trained.  If you cancel, you will lose some of your resources.  The one advantage to creating a six pack is that it only costs you 5/6 the normal cost per unit.  You get 6 units for the price of 5.

Constructing Buildings

Using constructors to repair a building as it is being built will speed up the construction of that building.  This does cost additional resources, though.

Building resource producing buildings close as you can to the resource it produces will increase the production of that resource.  The farther you build a smelter from the iron ore, for example, the longer it takes for the slaves to bring iron ore to the smelter.  If the building is too far away from the resource, the slaves won't even attempt to gather it.

It really doesn't matter where the cloning plant, weapons factory, munitions, and laser factory are built, because they don't gather resources.  A wizard tower can be used for defensive purposes or to gather majik.   If it is built to gather majik, it should be built by some majik crystals.

Global Command System

You can start using the GCS once a SatCom is built.   Using the GCS will greatly increase you army's success.  (See GCS.)

Weapons and Ammunition

Various weapons have advantages and disadvantages.  Go to the weapons page for a complete list of the various types of weapons and projectiles.  It's nice to use rockets because of their range, but don't forget about the bullets, plasma, and laser guns.  Use a variety of weapons, because they compliment each other.  It's also easy to neglect the use of rockets that do not have a tracking system on them, but a Stinger can bust through armor faster than other rockets.   Bullets are ineffective against units and buildings with armor, but once a few rockets break through that armor, bullets can finish the unit off fast.  The same goes with fire type weapons.

The Buy Items Screen

To increase your arsenal and available spells, you can buy weapons and spells on the Buy Items Screen.  You will go to this page automatically before each level.  Listed on this screen are all the weapons and spells that you can currently buy for your army.  Most of these weapons are ones that are researched in Lasheron, but some of them are weapons that can be purchased from other lands.

You receive an amount of credits each time you complete an objective on the previous level.  With these credits you can buy as many weapons and spells as you can afford.  If you do not spend all of your credits on a level, they carry over to the next time you come to the Buy Items Screen.

To buy a weapon or spell, simply click on the one or multiple ones you want to buy.  This will put a check mark in front of the weapon or spell.  Then click on the 'buy' button to purchase the weapon or spell.  When you are all done with your buying, click on the 'exit' button to proceed to the Objectives Screen.

Spells

Majik is a major tool in Lasheron.  Some jakkals are trained to become majik users.  Wizards are knowledgeable in the realms of light, life, and fire, researching spells that protect, heal, and even bring to life.  Sorcerers have a good knowledge of majik that focuses on pain, death and darkness.  They use spells that restrain, punish, and kill.  For a list of spells and their effects, go to the spells page.
