Description: debugWindow is a library that developpers can add to their project during dev./debug stage. It provides a way to get information about threads that belong to the host application and displays "debug" messages sent by the threads. Using its GUI, the user can suspend/resume/kill a thread or modify its priority. debugWindow's pulse rate can be modified to control the live thread list refresh. Debug messages are automatically dated (in system time units) and their sender is identify.

Description: SamplerPlatter will eventually be an application that will allow your computer to act as a MIDI-controllable sampler, with real-time effects processing, and a plug-in architecture that will allow different "samplers" to be built, each with their own GUI, MIDI control set and mappings, etc. There will be emulators with the look and capabilities of various commercial samplers (barring legal difficulties) including the Ensoniq Mirage (a classic 8-bit sampler with a unique gritty sound) and the Roland DJ-70 (a modern sampler with an interesting interface, including a scratch wheel, although I'm not sure how to handle that in the GUI). There will also be one sampler designed to provide the most efficient interface to every feature in the system, rather than looking like a traditional sampler's control panel. The emulated samplers may have additional capabilities that the original sampler did not--for example, there's no reason that a DJ-70 emulator can't be microtonal even though the real thing is fixed to standard tunings.

Description: This is the BeOS port of Inform, written by Graham Nelson, but compiled by Stephen van Egmond. Since there's no "dr9" button on this form, I'll say it here: you must be running the Preview Release of dr9 to use it. Inform is a compiler for text adventures in the Zork style. Included is the manual for Inform, and source for 3 sample games including a port of the original Adventure by Crowther and Woods. Inform uses a C-like language and outputs to the "Z-machine" virtual machine. One Z-Machine interpreter for the BeOS is Frotz (which should be brought to dr9 RSN)

Description: GlobalStat is a server. It doesn't do any stats analysis. Its clients send streams of data, that are displayed by GlobalStat in a highly configurable GUI. But GlobalStat doesn't do the display itself: it uses add-ons, and the user chooses which add-on to use with which client. For example there may be add-ons for bars, graphs, or anything more complex.
