SWiSHmax supports two types of Objects within a Scene:

·Simple Objects  
·Complex Objects  

The Object type defines how the Object behaves when various Effects are applied to it.

A Simple Object is a single indivisible entity. The following Objects are Simple Objects:

·Shape Objects  
·Button Objects  
·Sprite Objects  
·Instance Objects  
·Text Objects (input)  
·Text Objects (dynamic)  
·Text Objects (static with 'Target' checkbox ticked)  
·Group Objects (named with 'Target' checkbox ticked).  
·Sound Object (Soundtrack)  

A Complex Object is made up of many shapes. The following Objects are Complex Objects:
·Text Objects (static without 'Target' checkbox ticked).  
·Group Objects (unnamed or do not have the 'Target' checkbox ticked).
