Visas, Embassies & Border Crossings
The Pretoria based embassy has now relocated to the much more inconvenient Menlo Park, at the corner of Thomas Edison and Anderson Streets. Telephone: 467 640. Visa requirements have changed since the last LP guide for many nationalities.

You no longer need a visa in advance for Lesotho. You can get one at the port of entry (in my case Maseru) with no problems.

I just returned today from six days of beautiful travel in Lesotho. American citizens do not need a visa to enter Lesotho. I was concerned about all the conflicting information, so checked with the Lesotho embassy in Pretoria and was told not to worry. True to their word, I had no problems at the border. I was asked where I was going and for how long. I said Malealea for ten days and was promptly given 30 days to remain in the country! Very pleasant.
