6.2 SELECTING A QUESTION BANK
Selecting a question bank is a two stage process.
1. We must select a question bank from the disk drive and add it
to the List of 10. The List of 10 is a list of questions banks
you want to mix on an exam. From the List of 10 we then select
which question bank to work with.
To add to the List of 10 select 'Add to the List of 10'. A
pop-up window appears showing a DOS directory of available
question banks. Just use a mouse or the arrow keys to move the
highlight bar. Highlight the question bank name and press
<Enter>. The directory window has full help features, sort
options, wide or narrow displays, etc.
Repeat until all the question banks you wish to mix on an exam
are on the List of 10. To view the List of 10 choose topic
"Display the List of 10", a window will appear showing all the
Question Banks on the list.
If you wish to remove a Question Bank from the List of 10,
choose topic "Remove from List of 10". A window will appear
showing all the Question Banks on the list. Highlight & select
the Question Bank to remove from the list.
2. Now we must choose a Question Bank from the List of 10 that
we want to work with. This is the question bank from which we
can now manually or randomly select questions, to print on an
exam.
Now choose menu topic 'Select Questions' and the following
screen will appear.
┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│Question Banks Select Questions page Heading Print Options Exit│
└───────────────┬──────────────────────────────┬────────────────┘
│> Select Ques Bank From List <│
│ Display Categories │
│ View Questions │
│ Random Question Select │
│ Manual Question Select │
└──────────────────────────────┘
Now choose 'Select Ques Bank from List'. A window will appear
showing the List of 10, highlight the question bank to choose
questions from and press <Enter>. The name you have chosen
should now appear at the bottom left of the screen. Now that
you have chosen an exam to work with, see chapter 7, "Select
Questions" for complete instructions on how to select
questions randomly or manually to include on the exam.
