  70.     This chapter gives a brief description of each menu topic
  71. under "Question Banks" and instructions on how to select a
  72. Question Bank.

  74.     To select Question Banks, select "Print Exams" from the main
  75. menu then select topic "Question Banks". The following screen
  76. will appear.

  88. 6.1  QUESTION BANKS MENU
  89.  
  90.     The following is a brief description of each Topic under
  91. "Question Banks". The Question Banks Topic will allow you to add
  92. or remove Question Banks from the current list. Up to 10 question
  93. banks can be open per exam. You can also save and retrieve exams
  94. from this topic.

  96. 6.1.1  Add to the List Of 10
  97.        This topic will bring a Directory Window up on the screen.
  98. Use the arrow keys or the mouse to highlight the question bank
  99. you wish to add to the List of 10 and press <Enter>. All question
  100. banks end in the .DAT extension.

  102. 6.1.2  Display the List of 10
  103.        This topic will display the Question Bank List of 10.
  104.  
  105. 6.1.3  Remove from the List of 10
  106.        This topic will bring the current List of 10 up on the
  107. screen. Use the arrow keys or the mouse to highlight the question
  108. bank you wish to remove from the List of 10 and press <Enter>.

  110. 6.1.4  Retrieve an Exam
  111.        This topic will allow you to retrieve a previously saved
  112. exam. A pop up window will appear showing a DOS directory of
  113. available exams. Highlight and Press <Enter> to choose the exam.
  114. Exam names end with .EXM extension.

  116. 6.1.5  Save Current Exam
  117.        This topic allows to save the current exam to disk. It
  118. will save the complete List of 10 and all the question numbers
  119. chosen to print. A window will come up on the screen and ask you
  120. to enter a name. If the name exists you will be asked whether to
  121. re-enter or over-write the existing name.

  136. 6.1.6  Start Over (clear all)
  137.        This topic will allow you to clear all your existing work.
  138. It clears the List of 10 and all the questions selected, allowing
  139. you to start over with a clean slate.

  141. 6.2  SELECTING A QUESTION BANK
  142.  
  143.      Selecting a question bank is a two stage process.
  144.  
  145. 1. We must select a question bank from the disk drive and add it
  146.    to the List of 10. The List of 10 is a list of questions banks
  147.    you want to mix on an exam. From the List of 10 we then select
  148.    which question bank to work with. 
  149.  
  150.    To add to the List of 10 select 'Add to the List of 10'. A
  151.    pop-up window appears showing a DOS directory of available
  152.    question banks. Just use a mouse or the arrow keys to move the
  153.    highlight bar. Highlight the question bank name and press
  154.    <Enter>. The directory window has full help features, sort
  155.    options, wide or narrow displays, etc.

  157.    Repeat until all the question banks you wish to mix on an exam
  158.    are on the List of 10. To view the List of 10 choose topic
  159.    "Display the List of 10", a window will appear showing all the
  160.    Question Banks on the list.

  162.    If you wish to remove a Question Bank from the List of 10,
  163.    choose topic "Remove from List of 10". A window will appear
  164.    showing all the Question Banks on the list. Highlight & select
  165.    the Question Bank to remove from the list.

  167. 2. Now we must choose a Question Bank from the List of 10 that
  168.    we want to work with. This is the question bank from which we
  169.    can now  manually or randomly select questions, to print on an
  170.    exam.

  172.    Now choose menu topic 'Select Questions' and the following
  173.    screen will appear.

  184.    Now choose 'Select Ques Bank from List'. A window will appear
  185.    showing the List of 10, highlight the question bank to choose
  186.    questions from and press <Enter>. The name you have chosen
  187.    should now appear at the bottom left of the screen. Now that
  188.    you have chosen an exam to work with, see chapter 7, "Select
  189.    Questions" for complete instructions on how to select
  190.    questions randomly or manually to include on the exam.
