  71.     This chapter gives instructions for each menu topic under
  72. "Select Questions". It may be a good idea to read chapter 6,
  73. "Question Banks"  before proceeding with this chapter. You must
  74. also have questions bank(s) loaded on the List of 10 before
  75. proceeding. See Chapter 6.
  76.  
  77.     To choose "Select Questions", select "Print Exams" from the
  78. main menu then choose topic "Select Questions". The following
  79. screen will appear.

  91. 7.1  SELECT QUESTION BANK FROM THE LIST

  93.      If you choose topic "Select Ques Bank from List", a window
  94. will appear showing the List of 10, highlight the Question Bank
  95. to choose questions from and press <Enter>. The name you have
  96. chosen should now appear at the bottom left of the screen.
  97.  
  98.      You can now proceed to work with this Question Bank. You can
  99. display the category header, view the questions and answers on
  100. screen, and choose questions from the Question Bank either
  101. randomly or manually.

  138.      If you choose topic "Display Categories" the category header
  139. screen will appear. Shown on the screen is the category listing
  140. from the Question Bank. It shows all the categories available in
  141. the selected Question Bank.

  154.      At the top of the screen is the Title for the selected
  155. Question Bank. The title is contained in the first line of the
  156. Question Bank following the @@~@@ indicator and the Answer Format
  157. information, eq. @@~@@,a.,TITLE.

  159.      The listing shows the category name, the starting question
  160. number for the category, the ending number for the category and
  161. the total number of questions available in each category.
  162.  
  163.      The upper right corner shows the total number of categories
  164. available and the total number of questions available in the
  165. Question Bank.

  167.      Below this is the Answer Format. The answer format is
  168. contained in the Question Bank on the first line following the
  169. @~@ indicator. Version 5.0 allows your multiple choice answer
  170. format to be almost anything you desire. Lettering, upper or
  171. lower case, eq. A B C D a b c d, with any delimiter, eq. - . ),
  172. A- A. A) a- a. a). Numbering, 1 2 3 4 5, with any delimiter eq.
  173. -. ), 1- 1. 1). Whatever format is used it must be the same
  174. format for the entire Question Bank. This is so the answer
  175. scramble mode and other features can work properly.

  178. the Question Bank.

  290. appear on the exam. You are allowed up to 400 questions per
  291. Question Bank and up to 10 questions banks for a possible maximum
  292. exam size of 4000 questions.

  294.     The top of the screen shows the Question Bank name you are
  295. currently working with, and the total number of questions chosen
  296. for the entire exam. Below this is the Category Name, the Start,
  297. Stop Numbers, the total available, and the quantity chosen from
  298. each category.

  309. and press <Enter>. A category list will appear, highlight the
  310. category desired and press <Enter>. If no error messages appear a
  311. window will appear and ask you to enter the number of questions
  312. desired from the category. The program will then pick the number
  313. of random questions entered. The screen will immediately update
  314. with the new data.

  316.     To clear all questions from a category, highlight "Clear All
  317. Questions By Category" and press <Enter>. A category list will
  318. appear, highlight the category desired and press <Enter>. The
  319. screen will immediately update with the new data showing that
  320. category cleared.

  322.     Questions chosen can be deleted or added individually from
  323. the the "Manual Question Select" screen.

  325.     To get help, highlight "Help" and a help screen will appear.
