~Buried In Time
Help at the God of Wealth and Leonardo's Workshop.
Help at God of Wealth, obtained via Email.
~I get the feeling that I need an item from another time zone, which
~I currently don't have, unfortunately, I don't know what it is or
~where it might be. I've tried entering the Gold Room and jumping
~back to the temple and re-entering the God of Wealth area, but that
~doesn't seem to help either. No matter what I do, I can't seem to
~reach the entrance below the rope ladder.
Stop when your at the first end of the bridge (ie the other side from
the Gold Room). Look down and right and note the extra staple/hook
available. Use the rope (you do have the rope ...) on the staple and
this will allow you to move forward, down the rope.

~I seem to be stuck on Leonardo's workshop. [...] I keep running up
~against the two switches (one marked librare, etc. etc.). but I
~don't know what they do, as well as how to make the wheel underneath
~the switches turn. I suspect that they are used to bring an
~elevator of some sort up, but I have no idea how to do this.
I'll spoil this in two sections. Avoid reading further than need be..
The workshop is one of the more interesting places in the game purely
for historical interest... much of what is there was drawn by him
(and in a few cases were built). The 'elevator' is one of the more
interesting (if not impossible) in the workshop area.
First of all... the elevator is the largest feature in the room.
Either a very deep pit, or the platform itself. Second, use the
translator on the little words. Yep, that will work. If you don't
have it, think about the word librare for a moment... what does it
sound like? This should be enough to nudge you in the right
direction.
Skip this paragraph if you want no more help. :) The leftmost switch,
pull that to librare and pull the other one in the direction you want
to go. The wheel below brings it up or down depending on the lever
settings. If it's up, get inside, and 'push' those handles... one
direction will take you down. Advice: Getting off the thing is
tricky, but not as difficult as it seems.
