SOCIAL INSURANCE (Canada)
The Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) consists of nine (9)
alphabetic characters, arranged in three groups of three (3-3-3).
You may perform a checksum validation of the SIN by using the USDL
program. Enter an SIN in the first field and press <enter>. The
program will perform checksum validation for the number using the
standard algorithm, returning either "PASSED" or "FAILED" in the
second field.
It is inadvisable to make decisions regarding employment, credit or
other financial or personal risk solely on the reporting of this
program. Please use additional validation procedures, including
employing information specialists, if necessary to assist your
decision making process.
