NEBRASKA
LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
The State of Nebraska issues a sequentially generated nine (9)
character alpha numeric license number that bears no correlation to
the driver's personal identifiers: (Annnnnnnn) The first character
of the license number should be H, V, G, E, C, B, or A.
DOCUMENT:
The plastic laminated, photographic license manufactured by
Polaroid, displays the driver's photograph in the lower left corner
of the document. A signature of endorsement should overlap the
right edge of the photograph.
TERM:
Licenses are valid for up to four (4) years, expiring on the
driver's birthday when the driver's age is divisible by four (4).
Some current issue licenses may be valid for up to seven years.
MINORS:
Licenses issued to drivers under 21 use a to blue photograph
background.
CDL:
Commercial licenses are indicated by "COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE"
printed below the driver's name and address at the top of the
document.
