  3.   LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
  4.   The Province of  New Brunswick issues a  license number that may be
  5.   up to seven (7) characters in  length.  The license number bears no
  6.   correlation to the driver's personal identifiers.

  9.   DOCUMENT:
  10.   The thin, paper, unlaminated document may appear with variations of
  11.   the provincial coat of arms or  name in the upper left corner.  The
  12.   registrar's signature may appear pre-printed on the document, or on
  13.   a sticker affixed to it.

  16.   TERM:
  17.   Licenses of current issue are valid for four (4) years, expiring on
  18.   the driver's  birthday.  Previously issued  licenses were valid for
  19.   three (3)  years, expiring  on the last  day of  the driver's birth
  20.   month.  One sixty (60) day extension is available.

  23.   MINORS:
  24.   Licenses  issued  to  minors  bear  no  special  marks.   Check the
  25.   driver's date of birth on the document.
