  3.   LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
  4.   The State of  Montana uses the driver's  Social Security Number (in
  5.   an un-hyphenated  format) as the  license number.   At the driver's
  6.   request,   Montana   will  assign  a   license  number  bearing  no
  7.   correlation to the driver's personal identifiers.

  10.   DOCUMENT:
  11.   The  plastic  laminated, photographic license  manufactured by NBS,
  12.   Imaging Systems  Division, displays the  driver's photograph in the
  13.   lower left  corner of  the document.   The license  expiration date
  14.   should be printed or typed above the photograph.  The Montana State
  15.   seal  should  appear  in  gold  over  the  textual  portion  of the
  16.   document.

  19.   TERM:
  20.   Licenses are  valid for  four (4)  years, expiring  on the driver's
  21.   birthday.

  24.   MINORS:
  25.   Licenses issued to  drivers under 21 use  a 45 degree right profile
  26.   photograph.  Documents issued to drivers under 18 have
  27.   "PROVISIONAL"   stamped   on  the  right   front  of  the  license.

  30.   CDL:
  31.   Commercial  licenses are  indicated  by a  red  state seal  and red
  32.   heading of "COMMERCIAL DRIVERS LICENSE".
