  3.   LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
  4.   The State of Hawaii uses the  Social Security Number as the license
  5.   number.  At the  licensee's request,  Hawaii will  assign a license
  6.   number  that   bears  no  correlation  to   the  driver's  personal
  7.   identifiers.

  10.   DOCUMENT:
  11.   The  plastic  photographic  license  manufactured  by  NBS, Imaging
  12.   Systems  Division, displays  the driver's  photograph in  the upper
  13.   left corner.  Current issue licenses  display a hologram  of "ALOHA
  14.   STATE" over the height, weight, and hair data fields on the license
  15.   document.

  18.   TERM:
  19.   License is  valid for two  (2) or four  (4) years, expiring  on the
  20.   driver's birthday.

  23.   MINORS:
  24.   Licenses issued to minors show "UNDER  21 UNTIL" in red beneath the
  25.   license number.

  28.   CDL:
  29.   Commercial licenses show "CDL" in red  directly to the right of the
  30.   endorsement field on the license document.
