COLORADO HELP
This module will assist you in determining when a license was
issued by the State of Colorado, or in determining what the first
character of a valid license issued in a given year should be.
Enter a license number in the first field, or enter a year in the
second field and press <enter>.
If you enter a license number ISSUED WITHIN THE PAST FIVE YEARS,
the program will fill the second field with the year of issue for
the series of the license number you entered. Provisional and minor
licenses may not be checked in this way. If you enter a year WITHIN
THE PAST FIVE YEARS, in the second field, the program will fill the
first field with the correct format for a license issued in the
year chosen, providing you with the correct first character. Again,
Provisional and minor licenses are not subject to this system.
You may access additional Colorado reference information by
invoking the reference file. Do this by accessing the menu and
choosing the More command. This feature may also be activated
easily by pressing <Ctrl-M> for MORE.
If you have the automatic print feature activated, the program will
direct a report to the default printer concurrently with screen
output each time you press <enter>. Likewise, if you have the
automatic file output feature enabled, your disk file will be
appended (or created) concurrently with the screen output. You may
enable both of these options at the same time if you like.
If you choose to leave the automatic print output disabled, you may
still generate a print of the report showing on the screen by
accessing the menu and choosing the RapidPrint command. This
feature may be activated more easily by holding down the control
key and pressing 'P'. <Ctrl-P> A copy of the report showing will be
immediately directed to the default printer.
When you have finished performing inquiries for Colorado, press the
escape key to return to the main program selection screen. To exit
the program quickly, you should press <Ctrl-X>.
When you have finished reading this help file, press the escape key
to return to the California module.
