DISPLAY OPTIONS HELP
The Display Options Control Panel will permit you to customize some
of the appearance of your user interface by changing colors of some
items and other characteristics of others.
<AccessKey>
This feature allows you to change the foreground color only of the
keys used to access menu items. For readability and usefulness, you
will want this to be a colors that contrasts with the color you
choose for the menu background below.
<Active Border>
This feature allows you to change both the foreground and
background colors of the border for the active window.
<Command Button>
This selection allows you to choose the foreground color for the
command buttons used in the Display Options and Disk File Output
dialogs.
<Desktop>
This program runs within a maximized window, so no portion of the
desktop is ever visible. This selection will have no visible
effects.
<Disabled Items>
This refers to menu items that are disabled, but still appear in
the menu list. When menu items are disabled within this program,
they are simply not shown, so this selection will have no visible
effects.
<Menus>
This selection will allow you to change both the foreground and
background colors of the drop-down menu and the menu bar. You will
want to select colors that contrast with the program windows as
well as the <AccessKey> foreground color selected above.
<Menu Selected Items>
This selection will permit changing of both foreground and
background colors of the currently selected menu item. You will
want to choose colors that contrast with the ones chosen in <Menus>
above.
<Scrollbars>
This program does not use any scrollbars, so this selection will
have no visible effects.
<Title Bar>
This selection permits changing both foreground and background
colors for the main title bar. You will want to choose colors that
contrast with those chosen in the <Menu> selection above. Choose
colors that prominently display the program title. <Grin>
[ ] <Three Dimensional>
checkbox This selection toggles the three dimensional display of
the command buttons used in the Disk File Oputput and Display
Options dialogs.
[ ] <Window Shadow>
checkbox This checkbox (activated by clicking with the mouse or by
tabbing to the field and pressing the spacebar) will allow you to
toggle the window shadows on or off as you like.
[Wallpaper]
The wallpaper selection is not used in this program, so will have
no visible effects.
Command Buttons:
"Press" a command button by either clicking on it with your mouse
or trackball, or by tabbing to it's position and pressing <enter>.
<OK>
When you have finished configuring the program to your liking, you
can save your options by choosing the OK command button.
<Cancel>
Cancel any changes you have made and return to the USDL program by
"pressing" this button.
<Default>
This selection will reset the default properties for all the items
shown in this dialog. It will reset to options and colors different
from those set when this software was sold, so be careful choosing
this option.
