  3.   LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
  4.   The Province of  British Columbia issues a seven  (7) digit numeric
  5.   drivers  license number  with no  spacing or  delimiting characters
  6.   between the  digits. License numbers are  sequentially issued, with
  7.   no  correlation  between  licensee's  personal  identifiers and the
  8.   license number: (nnnnnnn)

  11.   DOCUMENT:
  12.   The  plastic  laminated  photographic  license  is  manufactured by
  13.   Identicard, Ltd. The driver's photograph appears in the lower right
  14.   corner  of the  document, next  to a  rendition of  a building. The
  15.   building  rendition may  vary in  color, though  the current  issue
  16.   license  bears a  monochrome etching.  Current issue  license shows
  17.   "BRITISH COLUMBIA"  in a metallic  film in the  lamination over the
  18.   data area  and a metallic  crest in the  lamination overlapping the
  19.   photograph.

  22.   TERM:
  23.   License is valid for five (5) years, expiring on the driver's birth
  24.   date.  Probationary  license  is  valid  for  two  (2)  years, also
  25.   expiring on the driver's birth date.

  28.   MINORS:
  29.   Minor's license shows no special indication of age. Check the birth
  30.   date on the license document.
