Network Board
Old NetWare Tools for Windows exist in your Windows area. These previous versions of NetWare Tools for Windows will not function with your workstation software. We recommend you remove them in the following manner:
1. Delete the file NWTOOLS.EXE from your windows directory.
2. Delete the following icons from the group windows within your windows program manager: Map, SetPass, Printers, Send, Attachments, Messages, UserList, VolInfo
The Install Utility creates a new program group named "NetWare." The "User Tools" icon within the "NetWare" group replaces the previous NetWare Tools.
The Install Utility is finished. Before rebooting your workstation do the following:
1. Edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files to remove any previous NetWare workstation files. The previous contents of these files have been saved with .BNW extentions.
1. Edit the AUTOEXEC.NEW and CONFIG.NEW files in the client directory to meet your system requirements. Remove any previous NetWare workstation files from them. Then, use them to replace your current AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files.
2. Reboot your workstation by pressing <Ctrl><Alt><Delete>.
Note: The Install Utility created or modified the NET.CFG and STARTNET.BAT files in the client directory, and the WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI, and PROGMAN.INI files in the windows directory. The previous contents of these files have been saved with .BNW extentions.
