  13.        1        pt    Tomato juice - strained                           
  14.        2        Tbsp  Butter                                            
  15.        2        Tbsp  Flour                                             
  16.        1        qt    Milk

  18.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  20.     Cream butter and flour together, add to hot juice. Stir quickly or use
  21.     egg beater to smooth. Cook until it thickens. Heat milk until slight  
  22.     scum forms; lower heat, add tomato mixture slowly, stirring           
  23.     constantly. Salt to taste. Serve hot with buttered popcorn or         
  24.     crackers.
