  14.        3        cup   Water - cold                                      
  15.        3        cup   Milk                                              
  16.        1        ea    Onion slice                                       
  17.        2        Tbsp  Butter                                            
  18.        2        Tbsp  Flour                                             
  19.        1        Tbsp  Sugar                                             
  20.                       Salt                                              
  21.                       Pepper

  23.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  25.     Place peas  and liquid in kettle. Add  3 cups cold water. Simmer 15   
  26.     minutes. Rub through sieve. Re-heat. Add flour and butter. Scald milk 
  27.     with onion in it. Add to above. Season and serve.
