  13.        1        lb    Dates - chopped                                   
  14.        1        cup   Milk                                              
  15.        1/3      cup   Sugar                                             
  16.        3        ea    Eggs - well beaten

  18.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  20.     Soak dates in milk for 3 hours, add sugar and eggs. Stir until        
  21.     ingredients are well mixed, pour into 10-inch pie pan lined with      
  22.     pastry. Bake at 450 F. for 10 minutes. Reduce heat, continue baking   
  23.     until center is firm. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
