  11.     INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

  13.        3/4      cup   Sugar                                             
  14.        1/3      cup   Flour                                             
  15.        1/8      tsp   Salt                                              
  16.        2        cup   Milk - scalded                                    
  17.        1/2      tsp   Vanilla                                           
  18.        2        Tbsp  Butter                                            
  19.        2        ea    Eggs - well beaten

  21.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  23.     Combine butter, sugar, salt, flour and eggs. Add milk slowly, stirring
  24.     constantly. Cook over hot water until thick and smooth. Add flavoring.
  25.     Pour into baked pastry shell. Cool. Serve with whipped cream. If      
  26.     desired, cover pie with meringue. Bake in slow oven 325 F. 20 minutes.
