  7.     The Democrats may be trading blows in New Hampshire, but
  8. if you're looking for real hardball, keep an eye on the
  9. Republican presidential primary. While Pat Buchanan's ads have
  10. pounded away at President Bush for his no-new-taxes switcheroo
  11. and other failings, Bush has played Gentleman George so far,
  12. ignoring his upstart competitor and focusing on his own
  13. leadership and compassion. That's classic top-dog strategy. But
  14. don't forget the President's pledge to do what it takes to win.
  15. Bush's team is preparing scorching ads that target Buchanan as
  16. a pinheaded isolationist and protectionist. If Buchanan's
  17. support edges past 30%, get ready, New Hampshire -- the rockets
  18. are coming.
