^2SPRITEX.
^5Shadow Software
^1 This is the latest version of SPRITEX compatible with V1.32 of AMOS.
^1Knocks spots off the original Sprite Editor supplied with AMOS. Has
^1more features than the one supplied with the Compiler. Contact the
^1Amos Club direct if you are a member who needs an update.
^4LPD 56.
^2CTEXT.
^5Shadow Software
^1 This program is eesential for all serious AMOS programmers. CTEXT
^1is an extension for AMOS which allows you to use icon bank based
^1fonts which can be drawn in up to 64 colours and displayed
^1propotionally on the screen with kerning if needed. CTEXT fonts are
^1loaded in as icon banks and don't need to be loaded in again from
^1disc. CTEXT fonts do not corrupt memory like normal disc fonts. Two
^1versions are supplied, one for AMOS 1.23 and the other for Version
^11.3 Some fonts are supplied on the disc so that you can start
^1experimenting with the program immediately
^4LPD 57.
^2KIDDIES' CLIPART.
^5The Magpie
^1 This disk contains loads of line drawn art which is especially
^1suited to children. These pictures can be loaded into DPaint or any
^1other art package and coloured in on screen. They can also be used
^1for DTP work. Subjects include people, scenes, and transport.

^2LOCKS, KEYS & ENEMIES.
^5Andreas Andreou.
^1 This is the follow up game to Silver Bars and the Enemy (APD 315)
^1which is based on the old Hunchback game. The follow up is a cute
^1sideways scroller with the hero, Dimi, having to match the keys with
^1locks of the same colour. Having done that you are given another
^1little game to complete before going on to the following level.
^1There is a password you can enter if you get far enough to earn the
^1priviledge. You must also avoid the Enemies which hurtle across the
^1screen and be agile enough to leap over pits, some of which have
^1nasties in them. Enough fun to last quite a few hours!
^4LPD 59.
^2THE PREHISTORIC FUN PACK.
^5Steve Bennett
^1 Who likes Dinosaurs? Everyone has a soft spot for these extinct
^1giants, especially children. This program was designed for children,
^1but all dinoholics can play! There are 4 programs to choose from.
^1Dinoslide is a slide puzzle where you have a choice of 4 pictures,
^1they show different Dinosaurs along with their names. Dinosaw, (Love
^1the name!) is a jigsaw puzzle which you have to put the picture back
^1together, help is available if needed. Snakes and caves is a snakes
^1and ladders type game with some added features, such as getting stuck
^1in the mud and having to throw 3 or 6 to get out. The dice throwing
^1feature is the most novel ever seen! But I won't spoil it by telling
^1you here. Eggstinct (another brilliant name) is a cutsie platform
^1game where Dino has to collect the eggs and avoid beasties. You
^1cann't die if you're already extinct so you just go back to the start
^1of the level if you collide with a beasty. Highly Recommended.
^4LPD 60.
^2TECHNO SNAIL.
^5Luke Miller.
^1 Gurgle, the evil snail has snailknapped all the snail babies and it
^1is up to the brave TECHNO SNAIL to get them back. This is Lukes
^1first licenseware title and is a cute platform game. You get rid of
^1the enemies by firing slime at them, you must collect all the babies
^1from a level before a gateway opens onto the next stage. Avoid the
^1snail pellets and other nasties and pick up the little snails as they
^1cry `help'. Nice game.
^4LPD 61.
^2THE FINAL CHAPTER.
^5Paul Ramsell.
^1 The Final Chapter of the Book of the Dead has been read and it is
^1your mission to close it. This is a 3-D graphic adventure written
^1with the 3-D Construction Kit by Inrentive Software. You move around
^1a 3-D world entering buildings and examining what you find there.
^1You can talk to people who will give you clues to help you on your
^1way. A lot of time and thought has gone into this game, well
^1recommended.
^4LPD 62.
^2REVOLUTION.
^5Chris Roper.
^1 This game can cater for up to four players at a time, using 2
^1joysticks and three keys from the keyboard and keypad for each of the
^1other 2 players. The instructions are simple, move your player to
^1the top of the screen before anyone else! The more players taking
^1part, the more fun the game becomes. There are six levels to get
^1through and everyone gets to reach the end as you don't die, your
^1score just goes into the minuses, so all abilities can have a good
^1game and no one has to sit and watch the other players because they
^1died in level one. Excellent graphics and great fun, what more could
^1you want?
^4LPD 63.
^2MAGIC FOREST III.
^5Shadow Software
^1 Welcome to Wilbert's Winter Wonderland. Wilbert is enjoying a White
^1Christmas in the Magig Forest. This is a Christmas romp with lots of
^1snow and Christmas crackers which you bounce on your head till they
^1get so big that they explode killing the wicked pixies. You also
^1have to collect the Christmas presents while avoiding a nasty-looking
^1Jack in the Box. Lots of fun in this Seasonal game from Aaron
^1Fothergill, not forgetting brother Adam who did the graphics and
^1music.
^4LPD 64.
^2RESCUE 2.
^5Paul Ramsell.
^1 Rescue 2 is the latest 3-D game from Paul Ramsell. It follows on
^1from the story of Rescue in as much as you are another secret agent,
^1but it is a complete new adventure to be solved. Terrorists have
^1tampered with 3 nuclear bombs and are trying to escape to
^1international waters before the bombs detonate. You have to gain
^1access to the missile control computers and discover what has been
^1done to the missiles, then defuse them. However, the terrorists have
^1taken the computer's access cards.... Highly Recommended.
^4LPD 65.
^2POWER PLANNER.
^5Amigavision.
^1 This disc will help you to keep a track of your life. It's a
^1personal organiser which will remind you of things you might
^1otherwise have forgotten such as Great Aunt Matilda's birthday or
^1that you have to go to school or work on a Monday. Each reminder is
^1given a priority value which means that you can be reminded of events
^1a month, a week or a day before they take place, or even on the day
^1itself. The program latches onto a built in clock if available, if
^1not you set the clock inside the program each time you use it. All
^1updated information is saved to your disc for future use.
^4LPD 66.
^2HOTEL MANAGER.
^5Ronnie Simpson.
^1 Another quality board game from Ronnie Simpson of Arcadia, Go-Getter
^1and Exit 50 fame. This game is about buying up strings of hotels and
^1upgrading their star rating so that you can charge even more
^1extortionate rates to those who land on your hotels. There can be up
^1to four players, they can be Human or Amiga, those you choose not to
^1use are put to `sleep'. There are rewards and pitfalls in the race
^1around the board, you can get wheel clamped or sent to hospital, win
^1the pools or get interest on your bank balance. Play to a set time
^1limit, or to the bitter end, you'll get a lot of fun from this game
^1without the problems caused by clumsy players knocking the board
^1over! Excellent.
^4LPD 67.
^2CYADONIA.
^5Jamez Newcombe.
^1 This is the promised sequal to the highly popular CYAD which was
^1reviewed so well in the magazines. I must admit to it being a
^1personal favourite and this new game has better brain bender levels
^1than the first. There are 49 puzzles in all, how does Jamez manage
^1to think up so many? You again control the yellow automated device
^1to collect diamonds and find your way out of the mazes, it's not as
^1easy as it sounds, but it is an excellent way to exercise your
^1brain. It's a nice touch that having completed the first level you
^1are given access to a choice of levels, so if you get stuck on one
^1you can choose another, as it's easy to go choose the wrong move, you
^1can escape by pressing `q' and start again. Highly recomended!
^4LPD 68.
^2VIRUS BUSTER.
^5Rod Pascoe.
^1 This is the virus killer that was mentioned in the last issue of
^1Totally Amos. It recognises plenty of the little beasties that will
^1destroy your programs, now there is no excuse for ANYONE to send
^1virus infested disks to Sandra's library!
