: Yet another pirate idiot who confuses QUAKE with DOOM II. QUAKE is the
: next game that will make DOOM II look like PONG. DOOM II is like SPEAR
: OF DESTINY (a wolf 3d game that came out about a year after Wolf 3d was
: released shareware). Quake is not out yet, nor will it be for a while.
I think it would be wise to bear in mind that Doom 2 isn't particularly
aimed at the knowledgeable (except that the levels should be above par
to many user-made ones), but more to the ignorant people who walk into
retail stores.. I didn't believe it until I started working at a software
retailer, but Id is actually missing out of a lot of potential earnings
by not letting the first doom be retailed. Doom 2 will solve mainly
that..
For us, it's mainly the new monsters and a pretty good guarantee of 30
new good levels (many good for deathmatch duty).
