Any Logitech Cyberman users out there know how to remap its buttons in Doom?
Better still is there a way to have Doom recognize it as a standard 3 button
mouse instead of a Cyberman?
The Doom setup program SEEMS to remap them when I choose 'Controller
Configuration, Mouse'. However, when I run the game (it prints a line about
Cyberman being attached) I always get button 1 - fire, 2 - open, 3 - strafe
no matter what I choose in setup.
Another annoying effect is that forward/backward movement doesn't start
until the Cyberman is in the extreme forward/backward position. This is
inconsistent with the way it performs in other applications, where it acts
just like a mouse (ie. small fore/back movements cause movement of the
mouse pointer).
The Cyberman is an interesting piece of hardware, but unless I'm missing
something the way Doom supports it makes it less useful than a mouse. This
is a shame because it provides the same aiming accuracy of the mouse while
solving the problem of constantly having to pick up the mouse and put it
back in the center of the pad.
