  25. Well, I think you are right about MOST wad authors. Some have specifically
  26. licensed their product for non-commercial use, however. I know of one author
  27. who specifically licensed his wad for non-commercial use and stated, in no
  28. uncertain terms, that the wad could not be tranferred to CD. Some people
  29. have tried to be cute and have been saying that the charge the CD Rom
  30. authors make is for the medium only, but I would want to take a look at
  31. their advertising. My guess is that they are not advertising the medium -
  32. which, by the way, is worthless without any files on it. Think about it...
  33. what would you do with a blank CD? Frisbee? Coaster for your favorite
  34. beverage? I think what their charge is for is a fact question and that means
  35. ... its JURY time.

  42. Again, take a look at Seth Cohn's pwad - I believe it is called
  43. hockey10.wad. The copyright law is a real pain when it comes to this stuff
  44. because the right to copy these files, IN GENERAL, belongs to the authors
  45. and unless they release these rights, the law WILL protect them in court. No
  46. doubt about it.
