I was about to buy an overdrive processor for my computer when
a couple people told me not to. At $300.00 or so they said it was
pricey and that I may as well just get a new motherboard.
My bud got a new 486/40 motherboard for 189.00 or something.
He had a 386/16 and now he can play Doom.
But, doom is already very fast on my 486 sx 25. Maybe that is
why it seems no faster to you. Mine slowed to a crawl on that
one level on Episode 3 surrounded by Lava, because it was outside
and there were tons of baddies(it goes faster as I kill them.)
Go to that level and see if it is faster than it was.
