  32. The thing about this discussion that surprises me is how many people think
  33. that _creating_ spin-off groups like .announce or .newbie is a good idea,
  34. then are surprised that these groups _already exist_ but they don't get
  35. them.  So what's the point?  If the traffic in .newplayers has really been
  36. that low, further splits seem similarly pointless.  I'd rather skim through
  37. all the threads in one place than slog through the same useless crap 5 or 6
  38. times.  (You know the PENIS SIZE thread would have been in all the groups,
  39. right?)

  41. Having said that, the addition of an .editing newsgroup seems like a useable
  42. addition to the existing ones (a.g.d, .newbie, .announce, and a.g.quake).

  44. Actually, it looks like the existing structure plus an .editing group pretty
  45. much equals Mr. Atkins' (unquoted) proposal, doesn't it?
