<H3> 3.7.1 Uninstalling OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0</H3>
</banner>
<pre width="80">
<p>
The removal of OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0 from your system involves the
following two stage process:
<p>
░ The first stage is necessary to unlock the files that are in use on
the system by OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0.
<p>
░ The second stage performs the actual uninstallation of the OpenDoc for
OS/2 Version 1.0 components.
<p>
<p>
The following steps show you how to perform the first stage:
<p>
1. If you have installed OpenDoc Multimedia for OS/2 on your system, you
have to remove it first. See <a href="3.7.2#HDRMULUNIN">"Uninstalling OpenDoc Multimedia for</a>
<a href="3.7.2#HDRMULUNIN">OS/2" in topic 3.7.2</a> for information about how to do this.
<p>
2. Delete from your Desktop the OpenDoc Templates and OpenDoc Shell
Plug-Ins folders and all of their contents. (<a href="3.4.1#FIG4610I11">Figure 85 in topic 3.4.1</a>
shows the folders that were installed for OpenDoc for OS/2 Version
1.0.)
<p>
3. Delete the PARTREG.BTO, AVLSRVR.BTO, OPENDOC.INI, and OSA.INI files
(some of them may not exist) from the \OS2 directory on your boot
drive.
<p>
4. Remove all references to OPENDOC from the CONFIG.SYS file. You will
need to modify at least the following statements: LIBPATH, PATH,
DPATH, HELP, BOOKSHELF, SET SOMIR and all others pointing to the
directory where you installed the OpenDoc for OS/2 components
(\OPENDOC is the default installation path).
<p>
5. Reboot your computer.
<p>
<p>
After rebooting the computer, the system is ready to perform the second
stage of the OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0 uninstallation process.
<p>
Perform the following steps:
