  27. <a name="HDRMULUNIN"><H3> 3.7.2   Uninstalling OpenDoc Multimedia for OS/2</H3></a>

  31.    To uninstall OpenDoc Multimedia for OS/2 from your system, you have to 
  32.    perform the following steps: 
  33. <p>
  34.     ___ <B>Note</B> _______________________________________________________________

  36.    | These steps will remove all mulitmedia code from your system, not only | 
  37.    | the OpenDoc related code.                                              |

  42.    1.  Open an OS/2 command prompt session (full-screen or windowed). 
  43. <p>
  44.    2.  Change to the \MMOS2\INSTALL directory on the drive where MMOS2 is 
  45.        installed. 
  46. <p>
  47.    3.  Execute <tt>DINSTSND.CMD</tt> to uninstall system sounds.  You will get a 
  48.        message indicating to reboot the machine.  Ignore this message and 
  49.        continue. 
  50. <p>
  51.    4.  Execute <tt>INSTMMVW.CMD</tt> <tt>-R</tt> to deregister all multimedia objects. 
  52. <p>
  53.    5.  Edit your CONFIG.SYS file and remove all references to MMOS2.  You 
  54.        will have to modify at least your PATH, LIBPATH, DPATH, HELP, 
  55.        BOOKSHELF and eliminate all DEVICE sentences pointing to the MMOS2 
  56.        directory (see <a href="#FIG4610I77">Figure 113</a>).  (This is an example, the actual lines 
  57.        will depend on the multimedia hardware installed on your machine.) 
  58.        You also need to delete the <tt>SET</tt> <tt>NCDEBUG=4000</tt> sentence.

  81.    6.  Delete the Multimedia folder from your Desktop and all its contents.

  83.        <B>Yes</B> <B>to</B> <B>All</B> option to confirm all deletions.
