Acorn World Attracts Major Exhibitors
Acorn World '93 - Wembley Exhibition Centre - 29-31 October 1993
With three months to go until Acorn World, Acorn Computers has already
secured a spectacular line-up of exhibitors and has a comprehensive theatre
programme in place. Amongst the 'household name' companies supporting the
show are Kodak and Psion, whilst many of Acorn's established partners, such
as Computer Concepts, Colton Software, Cumana and 4 Mation will also be
there.
Kodak will be demonstrating its innovative digital imaging technology, Photo
CD, at Acorn World. Acorn announced its endorsement of Photo CD in January
this year and is upgrading its Compact Disc Filing System (CDFS) to read
Photo CD disks. Kodak will also be hosting one of the seminar sessions,
entitled 'Taking better photos with Photo CD in mind'.
Psion, which worked closely with Acorn in the development of the Acorn
Pocket Book, will be giving a presentation at the Acorn World theatre on 'A
truly portable personal computer'.
Kevin Coleman, Acorn World show director, comments: "The calibre of
exhibitors who have already committed to Acorn World is outstanding and the
range of features and products which will be on display is expanding daily.
"With the theme, 'Vision for the Future', Acorn World looks set to be the
largest ever showcase for Acorn products and services worldwide. Taking
place at Wembley from 29-31 October 1993, the exhibition will have a
futuristic feel and will include a concept area, as well as a series of
dedicated feature stands.
"Besides catching a glimpse of just some of the exciting technological
concepts of tomorrow, visitors will be able to see the latest
state-of-the-art systems for the education, publishing, professional
services, home business and leisure sectors. A high level theatre programme
will accompany the exhibition, at which experts will give their views on a
range of business and technical, educational and leisure topics."
