  4. This facility allows you to update all transaction amounts on an
  5. account by linking with an INDEX file such as RPI to create an
  6. Indexlink file leaving the original file unaltered. The dates between
  7. which you wish to update the account are set and every transaction is
  8. then modified to 'index' the amount up to the index valid at the 'end
  9. date'.

  11. START AND END DATES
  12.  
  13. Simply set, all entries between these dates will be updated to the
  14. index at the end date.

  16. FILE

  18. Select an INDEX file from the menu. New Index accounts can be created
  19. from here by selecting 'New' from the menu. The Index display will
  20. open ready to enter the new account details.

  24. If the button is selected then when an INDEX file is selected it's
  25. display will open.

  27. CLEAR
  28.  
  29. Clicking the CLEAR button will clear the INDEX account from the the
  30. 'file' field and close the INDEX display if open.

  32. ACTIONING
  33.  
  34. When the 'IndexLink' button is clicked, the computations will start
  35. and an hourglass will countdown. When this is complete the original
  36. account display will close and a new one will open with the results.
  37. This display is similar to the original but the old amount, new amount
  38. and new balance figures are shown. This account becomes the current
  39. 'Indexlink' account. It is saved in the 'data' directory as
  40. 'Fixed.Indexlink' and accessed from the normal accounts menu.
