- INDEX DISPLAY

- This window is used to display Index account data. Data is also
- entered and edited here and new Index accounts can be created.

- NEW INDEX ACCOUNTS
-
- When 'New' is selected from either the See Account menu or the
- Indexlink menu this display will open ready to accept a new filename,
- type in a name beginning with a capital letter and click over the
- GREEN TICK to create the new Index account. If you change your mind
- either close the window, click over the 'See' icon in the Indexlink
- window or select another Index file from the Indexlink menu. Once a
- new Index file has been created entries can be made to it in the
- normal manner (see below). Index accounts can be deleted using the
- DELETE ACCOUNT function from the TOOLBAR.

- ENTERING DATA

- The date is changed simply, select changes days, menu changes months
- and adjust changes years. The index is typed in. Clicking the Enter
- button enters the data in the correct place and renews the display.
- The data is automatically saved to file whenever it is changed.

- DATA DISPLAY

- This occupies the lower part of the window, entries are displayed in
- date order.

- EDITING AND DELETING
-
- Clicking select over an entry brings up a menu offering 'Edit' and
- 'Delete'. Selecting 'Delete' bring up a warning to confirm you wish to
- delete the entry-OK will delete it and CANCEL will leave it. Selecting
- 'Edit' from the menu enters the data into the entry form above but
- leaves the entry intact. The data can then be edited for re-insertion
- or left as it is, clicking on the CLEAR button will clear the entry
- display leaving the entry intact. Clicking on the Enter button will
- bring up a message to confirm you wish to replace the original entry,
- OK will replace it and CANCEL will leave the original entry intact.

- INDEX ACCOUNTS

- Can be used to 'Indexlink' accounts and can be displayed on graphs for
- comparison (the 'relative' plotting option is worth using here).
