  1.                     INDEX DISPLAY

  4. This window is used to display Index account data. Data is also
  5. entered and edited here and new Index accounts can be created.
  6.  
  7. NEW INDEX ACCOUNTS
  8.  
  9. When 'New' is selected from either the See Account menu or the
  10. Indexlink menu this display will open ready to accept a new filename,
  11. type in a name beginning with a capital letter and click over the
  12. GREEN TICK to create the new Index account. If you change your mind
  13. either close the window, click over the 'See' icon in the Indexlink
  14. window or select another Index file from the Indexlink menu. Once a
  15. new Index file has been created entries can be made to it in the
  16. normal manner (see below). Index accounts can be deleted using the
  17. DELETE ACCOUNT function from the TOOLBAR.

  19. ENTERING DATA
  20.  
  21. The date is changed simply, select changes days, menu changes months
  22. and adjust changes years. The index is typed in. Clicking the Enter
  23. button enters the data in the correct place and renews the display.
  24. The data is automatically  saved to file whenever it is changed.

  26. DATA DISPLAY
  27.  
  28. This occupies the lower part of the window, entries are displayed in
  29. date order.

  31. EDITING AND DELETING
  32.  
  33. Clicking select over an entry brings up a menu offering 'Edit' and
  34. 'Delete'. Selecting 'Delete' bring up a warning to confirm you wish to
  35. delete the entry-OK will delete it and CANCEL will leave it. Selecting
  36. 'Edit' from the menu enters the data into the entry form above but
  37. leaves the entry intact. The data can then be edited for re-insertion
  38. or left as it is, clicking on the CLEAR button will clear the entry
  39. display leaving the entry intact. Clicking on the Enter button will
  40. bring up a message to confirm you wish to replace the original entry,
  41. OK will replace it and CANCEL will leave the original entry intact.

  43. INDEX ACCOUNTS

  45. Can be used to 'Indexlink' accounts and can be displayed on graphs for
  46. comparison (the 'relative' plotting option is worth using here).
