  8.   The world is full of machines ranging from the simple to the complex, from
  9.   ice cream scoops to internal combustion engines. Machines are so common
  10.   as to be almost unnoticed, but children need to understand how machines
  11.   work and should be able to modify and build simple mechanical devices.

  22.   colour annotated photographs and overlays, with many diagram sequences,
  23.   showing purpose, structure and use.
