  4. 41   O'BRIEN AND KEIKO

  6.     as she sits down next to him, Keiko undoes the clip, 
  7.     allowing her hair to fall free.
  8.  
  9.                     KEIKO 
  10.             Nerys said she could stay with 
  11.             Yoshi until your shift's over.
  12.  
  13.     Keiko takes a brush and begins running it through her 
  14.     hair.
  15.  
  16.                     O'BRIEN 
  17.             Good. I've fallen behind on my 
  18.             repair schedule over the past few 
  19.             days.
  20.  
  21.     But Keiko's attention has been diverted to something 
  22.     else.
  23.  
  24.                     KEIKO
  25.             Miles...
  26.  
  27.     He turns to face the direction she's looking. There's 
  28.     Molly, standing not ten feet away -- somehow, she got 
  29.     down from the tree and approached them without being 
  30.     heard.
  31.  
  32.     She's staring intently at Keiko, who's frozen in mid-
  33.     brush stroke. Keiko runs the brush the rest of the way 
  34.     through her hair, and this prompts a reaction from 
  35.     Molly.
  36.  
  37.     She opens her mouth as if to say something and extends 
  38.     her hand. Keiko and Miles exchange glances. Careful 
  39.     not to spook her, Keiko holds the brush out toward her.
  40.  
  41.                     KEIKO 
  42.             Do you want the brush, Molly? You 
  43.             can have it.
  44.  
  45.     Molly steps closer, approaches the couch where her 
  46.     parents are sitting.
  47.  
  48. 42   CLOSE - KEIKO'S HAND
  49.  
  50.     holding the brush. Molly's hand enters FRAME, but 
  51.     instead of snatching the brush away, it CLOSES over 
  52.     both the brush and Keiko's hand.
  53.  
  54. 43   RESUME SCENE 
  55.  
  56.     The two women lock eyes for a moment, then Molly slowly 
  57.     lowers herself down on the floor, pulling Keiko's hand 
  58.     to her hair.
