  7.     wants her to brush her hair. Gently, Keiko runs the 
  8.     brush through Molly's hair. Molly blinks as the 
  9.     sensation awakens old memories within her body.
  10.  
  11.     The O'Briens share a look. It's the first time she's 
  12.     allowed either of her parents to touch her, and it's an 
  13.     electrifying moment. Off O'Brien's face as he takes in 
  14.     the sight of his wife brushing his daughter's hair the 
  15.     way she used to when Molly was little...
  16.  
  17. 44   INT. HABITAT RING CORRIDOR

  19.     as Bashir walks with an excited O'Brien on his way to 
  20.     his quarters. The chief is carrying a rolled up piece 
  21.     of drawing PAPER.

  23.                     O'BRIEN
  24.             More and more when I look at her,
  25.             I can see the little girl she used
  26.             to be.

  28.                     BASHIR
  29.             Has she spoken yet?
  30.  
  31.                     O'BRIEN
  32.             No, but I can tell she understands
  33.             what we're saying.

  36.             Does she respond to her name?

  41.             Look at this. She drew it.

  43.     He stops and proudly shows Bashir the drawing --

  47.     It's a child-like rendering of a landscape. The most 
  48.     striking thing about it is that the trees have FACES, 
  49.     as do the TWO MOONS hanging in the sky. It's as if 
  50.     she sees the world around her as a living, breathing 
  51.     thing.
