  5.     FADE IN:
  6. 33   EXT. PLANET'S SURFACE - DAY (LOCATION)
  7.  
  8.     as Jake continues his panicked escape... he pushes 
  9.     through brambles and low-hanging branches, panicked and 
  10.     out of breath, totally oblivious to his surroundings.
  11.  
  12. 34   CLOSE - JAKE'S FOOT
  13.  
  14.     as it catches on a rock...
  15.  
  16. 35   ON JAKE
  17.  
  18.     as he crashes to the ground... it takes a moment for 
  19.     him to realize that he's landed atop the body of --
  20.  
  21. 36   A DEAD KLINGON
  22.  
  23.     Horrified, Jake pushes himself away, staggers to his 
  24.     feet, gets his bearings...
  25.  
  26. 37   NEW ANGLE
  27.  
  28.     as Jake sees TWO DEAD STARFLEET OFFICERS sprawled on 
  29.     the ground nearby, their limbs contorted at unnatural 
  30.     angles, as if their bodies had been tossed there...
  31.  
  32. 38   ON JAKE
  33.  
  34.     as he backs away, trying to get away from the bodies... 
  35.     he scales a crest in the ground, only to find that he's 
  36.     come upon an even more horrific scene...
  37.  
  38. 39   NEW ANGLE
  39.  
  40.     The landscape is scattered with dead -- they're mostly 
  41.     Starfleet, with a smattering of Klingons. Jake's 
  42.     effort to escape has only brought him to this scene of 
  43.     carnage, and it seems to him there's no way out of the 
  44.     nightmare...
  45.  
  46.     He can only do the one thing his brain keeps telling 
  47.     him -- keep moving...
