  8.             Chief. How are you doing?

  10.                     O'BRIEN
  11.                 (angry)
  12.             I wish people would stop asking me
  13.             that.
  14.  
  15.     O'Brien immediately realizes he's been too harsh with
  16.     Odo and tamps down on his anger.
  17.  
  18.                     O'BRIEN
  19.             I'm sorry, Constable.
  20.             Everything's fine. I've just...
  21.             had a tough day.
  22.  
  23.     O'Brien EXITS, headed for Quark's. Odo watches him go,
  24.     not at all mollified by O'Brien's explanation.
  25.  
  26. 49   INT. QUARK'S
  27.  
  28.     The bar's busy. QUARK is working as quickly as
  29.     possible to keep up with demand. He places a pair of
  30.     drinks on a waiter's tray, then makes eye contact with
  31.     an impatient patron at the end of the bar.
  32.  
  33.                     QUARK
  34.             That was a black hole straight up,
  35.             right?
  36.  
  37.     The patron nods and Quark begins mixing his drink.
  38.  
  39.                     O'BRIEN (O.S.)
  40.             A synthale please.
  41.  
  42.     Quark glances up and sees O'Brien standing over him,
  43.     but doesn't stop mixing the black hole.
  44.  
  45.                     QUARK
  46.             Be right with you, Chief.
  47.  
  48.     Quark moves off to get an ingredient for the black
  49.     hole.
  50.  
  51. 50   CLOSE ON O'BRIEN
  52.  
  53.     He tries to wait patiently, but Quark's seemingly
  54.     oblivious to his needs and continues mixing drinks for
  55.     other patrons. After a couple beats of this...

  57.                     O'BRIEN
  58.             Quark. What about that synthale?
