  6.     O'Brien's on the bio-bed, having just finished being
  7.     examined. He's flexing his right arm, trying to get
  8.     used to the idea that it's not broken anymore. He's
  9.     lost motor control of the arm and has to use his left
  10.     arm to move it around. As he's working on his arm, he
  11.     walks over to a replicator to get something to eat.
  12.  
  13.                     O'BRIEN
  14.                 (trying to remember how
  15.                 to do this)
  16.             Computer, a piece of chee'lash
  17.             fruit please.
  18.  
  19.     But nothing comes out of the replicator.
  20.  
  21.                     COMPUTER VOICE
  22.             Requested item is not on record.
  23.             Please provide specifications.
  24.  
  25.     O'Brien tries to come up with a description of
  26.     chee'lash fruit, for a beat, then gives up.
  27.  
  28.                     O'BRIEN
  29.             I don't have the specifications.
  30.                 (a beat)
  31.             Cancel the request.

  33.                     KEIKO (O.S.)
  34.             Miles?
  35.  
  36. 23   NEW ANGLE
  37.  
  38.     O'Brien turns and just for a moment he sees Ee'char
  39.     standing in the doorway with Bashir  instead of Keiko.
  40.     CLOSE ON O'Brien who's confused and a little fearful.
  41.  
  42.                     BASHIR
  43.             I'll leave you two alone.

  45. 23A  NEW ANGLE
  46.  
  47.     O'Brien can now see Keiko and Bashir. Bashir having
  48.     escorted Keiko in, EXITS.

  50.     Keiko looks at O'Brien, tears welling up in her eyes.

  53.             Oh, Miles.

  55.     They embrace. For a second, O'Brien holds her close,
  56.     completely caught up in the moment. He never thought
  57.     held see Keiko again and loves her dearly.
