  8.             bridges and then blow them up.

  10.     Furel holds out an empty glass.

  13.             Again, please.

  15.     Kira picks up the pitcher and starts to fill the glass.

  17.                     KIRA
  18.             Furel... if you don't mind my 
  19.             asking... why haven't you--
  20.  
  21.                     FUREL
  22.             Why haven't I had my arm replaced?  
  23.             Well... I thought about it.  Even 
  24.             saw a Federation doctor about it... 
  25.             she said, "No problem, Furel.  You 
  26.             can have a new arm in less than a 
  27.             week... you'll have full range of 
  28.             motion and it'll feel just like your 
  29.             own."

  31.                     KIRA
  32.             So why didn't you do it?

  34.     Furel shrugs... to him losing the arm and his reasons for 
  35.     doing so are a badge of honor.  He's proud of it.

  37.                     FUREL
  38.             Before I went into that interrogation 
  39.             center, I asked the Prophets to give 
  40.             me the strength to get the rest of 
  41.             you out of there.  And in return... 
  42.             I said I'd give up my life.  As it 
  43.             turned out, I not only rescued you 
  44.             and Shakaar and Lupaza... it only 
  45.             cost me an arm.
  46.                 (beat)
  47.             I felt like the Prophets were 
  48.             generous.  Somehow replacing the arm 
  49.             seems... ungrateful.

  51.     A quiet beat as they all reflect on this.  After a beat, 
  52.     Lupaza breaks the moment.

  57.             two arms, you'd actually have to do 
  58.             some real work for a change.
