  4. 14   INT. SHAKAAR'S HOUSE - NIGHT

  6.     Kira, Shakaar, FUREL, and LUPAZA are sitting in the living 
  7.     area with the remains of food and drink scattered around.  
  8.     Furel is older than the others, in his late fifties with a 
  9.     cautious, thoughtful attitude.  He's also missing his left 
  10.     ARM.  Lupaza is a woman in her early forties and is more 
  11.     highly strung.
  12.  
  13.     The mood is warm and convivial, but underlying everything is 
  14.     the fact that these people shared a grim and arduous 
  15.     experience.  The fight against the Cardassians shaped and 
  16.     molded each of them and that shared background serves to 
  17.     temper their gaiety even in the best of times.

  19.                     LUPAZA
  20.                 (to Furel)
  21.             You never would've found your way 
  22.             out of there if I hadn't left that 
  23.             marker on the rock.

  25.                     FUREL
  26.             I have a fine sense of direction.  I 
  27.             knew exactly where I was the whole 
  28.             night.

  30.                     KIRA
  31.             I found your tracks the next day.  
  32.             You were walking in circles.

  34.                     FUREL
  35.                 (with dignity)
  36.             I was throwing the Cardassians off 
  37.             my trail.
  38.  
  39.     This is met with outright laughter, but it's all in fun and 
  40.     even Furel smiles, showing he has a sense of humor about 
  41.     himself.  The laughter settles down after a moment and more 
  42.     drinks are poured.  Lupaza suddenly remembers something.

  45.             Nerys?  Guess who I saw last week?  
  46.             Mobara.

  49.             Really?

  52.             He's in school now... studying
