  6. The General Electric Network for Information Exchange (GEnie) is an
  7. electronics telecommunications system with hundreds of services and
  8. interest areas. In addition you can find everything from the online
  9. shopping mall to electronic mail (including Internet access). GEnie's
  10. competitive new monthly rate of 8.95 US per month includes 4 hours of
  11. connect time. Each additional hour is charged at 3.00 US. 9600 baud
  12. service is also available at premium rates.

  14. A computer, modem and telecommunications program are all you need to
  15. join GEnie. Set up your software to 8 bits, No Stop Bit, 1 Bit Parity
  16. and local echo. Select 300, 1200 or 2400 baud and call 1-800-638-8369
  17. (toll free) to sign up. In Canada call 1-800-387-8330. Upon
  18. CONNECTion enter HHH. At the U#= prompt, type in XTX99259,GENIE and
  19. press RETURN. Have a major credit card ready. In the US you may also
  20. use your checking account number. If you have any problems, call
  21. Customer Service at 1-800-638-9636.

  24. and Falcon users meet in the ST RoundTable on Page 475. Eight-bit
  25. users meet in the 8Bit RT on Page 665. In both areas you will find an
  26. extensive Bulletin Board system where messages are organized in
  27. easy-to-read categories and topics. The RoundTables have very large
  28. file collections in their respective libraries.
