  6.       The union of Christ and the believer in fruitfulness.
  7.       First there must be life in Christ.  Then follows fruitfulness
  8.       in Christ.  The life manifests itself in fruit.

  10.       The True Vine.............Jesus. "I am the true vine". Jn. 15:1,5. 
  11.       The Husbandman............The Father
  12.       The Branches..............The Believers
  13.       The Fruit................ The Fruit of the Spirit.  Gal. 5:22-23

  17.       Every branch that beareth not fruit, the Father taketh away.
  18.       v. 2 He is cast forth as a branch and withers.  Gathered, and

  22.       Three classes of branches 
  23.       1. a branch in Christ....... fruit.
  24.       2. a branch in Christ cleansed..more fruit
  25.       3. a branch abiding in Christ and Christ in him..much fruit. v.7-8,

  27.       Cleansed by the Word. v. 3.
  28.  
  29.       Abiding in the Vine--indispensable to life and fruit. v. 4.
  30.  
  31.       We abide in Christ by love and by obedience (v. 9,12-14, 11)

  33. Results of abiding in Christ:
  34.       a.    Prevailing prayer. v. 7-16c.
  35.       b.    Much fruit. v. 5,8,
  36.       c.    Full joy, the joy of Christ, v. 11,
  37.       d.    Perfect friendship with Christ. v. 14-15.
  38.       e.    Abiding fruit. (a fruitful life for eternity). v. 16.

  40. 2.    The Believer and the World. v. 18-27.

  42.       a.    The Believer Hated by the World. v. 18-25.
  43.             The world hated Christ, therefore the world will hate Christ
  44.             in us. v. 18, 20, 21.
  45.             The separation of the believer from the world. v. 19.
  46.             In the world but not of the world.
  47.             The world hates the believer because the world does not know
  48.             the Father,and in so doing hates both Jesus and His
  49.             Father. v.21,23-2

  53.       In the midst of hate and persecution the Comforter will come.

  55.       Jesus promises to send Him to the believer from the Father.

  60.       testify to the world in spite of it's hate and persecution.
