  4.   Now let's carry this pesticide thing a
  5. step further.   Place  about  a  cup  of
  6. water in a blender and throw in  about a
  7. bulb of peeled cloves.  Liquify this and
  8. pour the mixture through 2 or  3  layers
  9. of cheesecloth.  You can place the cloth
  10. over a  jar,  securing  it  with  rubber
  11. bands.  Save the crushed garlic from the
  12. cheesecloth.  This can be  scattered  in
  13. flower beds or gardens and it will  keep
  14. all  sorts  of  pests  away,   including
  15. aphids.  It works  around  fruit  trees,
  16. grape vines, berries,  roses  and  newly
  17. planted trees and bushes.               
  18.   Wash the blender out immediately  with
  19. COLD water and the odor will be removed.
  20. Later it can  be washed  normally as you 
  21. would your other dishes.

  25.   Pour  your  garlic/water  mixture
  26. into a spray-type bottle.  You  can
  27. now spray  your  plants  and  pests
  28. will not bother  them.    And  it's
  29. harmless to people, kids and pets. 
  30.   If you find the spray clogs,  you
  31. will  have  to  run  the   solution
  32. through more cheesecloth.  Use more
  33. layers to remove the  finer  garlic
  34. which is clogging the sprayer.     
  35.   Remember, rain or  watering  will
  36. wash off the spray so  as  soon  as
  37. you see anymore pests, it's time to
  38. get out the spray.  Researchers  in
  39. the  Northwest  have  found    that
  40. garlic spray will  keep  deer  from
  41. eating   newly  planted   saplings.
