  63.   The  use of  and admiration  for our 
  64. magic bulb goes back in time to before 
  65. our recorded history.  In the earliest 
  66. Sanskrit  writings,  garlic  is   also
  67. mentioned.   Babylonians  knew  of the 
  68. curative powers as  early as 3000  BC.  
  69. Reports  have  it  that  is  was found 
  70. growing in the gardens of the  King of 
  71. Babylon in the  eighth century  before 
  72. Christ!  In Egypt,  it was freely used 
  73. and was highly  honored.  Thousands of 
  74. slaves working on the great pyramid of 
  75. Cheops  were  fed   garlic  daily   to 
  76. sustain  strength  and  endurance.  In 
  77. fact, the slaves refused  to work when 
  78. their daily ration was  withheld.  Now    
  79. that's what you can call a real garlic
  80. lover.

  86.      There is even  a story  that the 
  87. Egyptians swore on  a clove of garlic 
  88. when  they   took  a   solemn   oath.  
  89. And their high priests were forbidden 
  90. to eat garlic.   I have  read stories 
  91. that it was found in the tomb of King 
  92. Tutankhamen.  It certainly appears in 
  93. many of the hieroglyphic writings and 
  94. was no stranger to Egyptians.

  101. ailments, including headaches, heart

  104. throat tumors, and 
  105. problems of 
  106. childbirth
