Not that I wouldn't fancy good lyrics, but _musically_ I don't care about
the _meaning_ of the text at all. All I care for is how the singing and
speaking _sounds_ like. And I think John Hurt sounds great. (You said
yourself that he's the ideal embodiment.)
Similar reasoning applies to Rakim's vocals.

Subject: (ztt) AON- Seduction Promo Pack
What's up ?
I also received the promo pack with the anti-static bag and the promo CD of
Seduction. This was sent to me by Universal Records themselves. I was so
ecstatic that I could hardly contain myself !!!!
IMHO, the new CD sounds like In No Sense Nonsense with a few cups of Below
the Waste and the Hollow Reed soundtrack mixed in with tight D&B
rhythms. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the fact that AON
was not involved in any of the drum programming. I am also still bitter
about J.J. retiring from the music industry and not being on the new album.
But I liked the hidden "dum-dum" samples in "Dreaming in Colour"; that was
the shit !!! For those who haven't heard the new CD yet, I am truly sorry to
be leaving you out of the fun and games. Metaforce is the bomb; it has
definite crossover appeal.
One more thing; for those who haven't seen it, there are two articles on AON
in the latest issues of CMJ (the one with DJ Rap on the cover), and
Billboard (the one from last week with the middle spotlight focus on the
Hawaii music scene).
LOVE YOU ALL !!!!!

Subject: (ztt) comical ebay seller selling debussy
I thought this ad and his reasons why he justifies a $20 starting bid
and why he believes he deserves $30 or more for it, was worth a posting
for this list, and possibly the RIAA and Universal records or whoever
else gave him the promo in the first place:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=116229275
Art of Noise's Seduction of Claude Debussy full-length CD, pre-release
promo! -
Not even available in stores yet!
Another smooth sonic masterpiece by these experimental-pop masters.
Intelligent music for intelligent people, eh? This ranges from
classical-influenced moodpieces to technoid danceably fun stuff. THIS
ALBUM IS NOT COMMERCIALLY AVAILALBYET.
You want it early, you can get it here. This copy has full liner notes
and front & back inserts (the back one is promo punched thru the UPC
symbol. This item gets pretty hot bids on eBay. I've seen it sell for
over $30, so I am setting a reasonable minimum bid to weed out
rinky-dink early low bids that will just waste everyone's time.
I hope someone like Zang writes him and says "Breaking street date is
punishable by death. Good day!!"
