Don't know if it's been mentioned, but IIRC, there's a Jimi covers album done by a bluegrass band too...I'm at work and away from my CDs at this time, and I can't think of the CD's title or group (was it Psychograss?)
There's also a great Jerry Douglas cover of "Hey Joe" on a bluegrass comp I own...again, I can't think of the title.
Some help, heh? ;-)

IIRC, Graham Lock's "Blutopia" has a long and effective untangling of Braxton's
prose style. The intro to the condensation of the Heffley interview that
is the cover story of the latest "Signal to Noise" also translates things
somewhat, especially about the house of the circle, rectangle, etc.
It also made me much more interested in hearing "Trillium", to hear what
he did with text and voices (though the people who I know who saw it
