Can anyone recommend any a-g jazz gigs in Paris in the next wk?
Also, is "Instant Chavrires" easily accessible from the city center?
Thanks very much in advance.

As a non-native who was just visiting Paris for a couple of nights, I can
definitely say yes. It's easy walking distance from the Robespierre metro
station. It's kind of down a narrow side street, but as long as you have
the address when you go and can read a map (there was a neighborhood map at
the metro station), you should be fine.

Oddly enough, I just got my copy in the mail today, and have it on REALLY loud as I read my email. Yes, what a fantastic album!!!! I only have a couple of other BoB albums -- Procession (Ogun vinyl) and Country Cooking (CD, can't remember the label). What else is available right now that I should jump on? And is Maxine McGregor's book still available anywhere?

I believe the Memorial Concert was released on ITM in Germany. I got mine
from Cadence in a special sale. It is OK, not essential.

Are you sure that it is the same that I listed?

I didn't know about this edition, but yes, my copy is on ITm, if you call it
distributed.

You're welcome.
We are all happily surprised at how well received this record has been (not
that it doesn't deserve it, but we have about 160 CDs that deserve it, imo...)
There is a full length realaudio track on the Cuneiform site:
www.cuneiformrecords.com
BTW - the Kongi's Theme mix-up being credited to Wole Sowinka instead of
Chris was MY fault, not Mike Fowler's. That was how it was credited on the
log of the radio broadcast we were given when we got the masters to use in
production, & I didn't double check it. Dumb of me. No excuse. mea culpa.
Anyway, glad that some folks here are enjoying it.
