I don't know, it should be available somewhere, maybe not through the usual
sources. It is on Buzz, a dutch label that also put out that Trevor Dunn CD
and something by Misha Mebgelberg, and is distributed by Allegro, the same
people who distribute the Black Saint/Soul Note stuff. I remember having a
hard time finding some of that stuff back when I was in North Carolina, but
then also seeing it pop up in Best Buy or whatever. Strange.
About the album -- I haven't heard it, but hopefully it is better than the
show I saw. I saw them last spring (?) in San Francisco in front of a pretty
big audience. It was ok, but somewhat frustrating as well knowing what they
are capable of. But I have heard better reports on the CD, and besides, if
you heard it and liked it, you probably don't have a need for my opinion
anyway!!

Hello Edgar,
The other place to check is Archa Theater. I'm not sure though that
something is going on there now. Actually, you can get the schedule of
all events almost at any bar.
Ad for stores, try to find little store on Navrotilova street, which
have some good avant-jazz collection. Bear in mind, that it is opened
only in the day time and it is impossible to find it when it is
closed. The other good place is Radost FX, which is very close to
Vacslavska Namnesti.
And don't forget that the best beer/hang out places are in Zhishkov.
Akropolis is right in the middle of it.

Anything by Augur, especially "All the Smallest Granules of Time".

Well take over, buy out, whatever. That nice Caleb even gave me
a personal reply, what can I say other than great list!
On another front, and I realise that this must have
been covered several times; but I bought the these at yr=3D20
fave London Jazz shop - Mole Jazz- earlier today.
"Willem Breuker Kollektief - Live At The donaueschingen
Music Festival 1975" [And I'd like to know where to go=3D20
from there...]
And Joseph Jarman and Marilyn Crispell "Connecting Spirits"
which is from '96 on Music & Arts and I thought
I'd mention that with my (small) collection of stuff
on this label, I've never been disappointed.
Comments anyone?

"Clearing" by Fred Frith. One of my favorite Tzadik releases so far! Anybody
else digging this?
I think it's very cool that Tzadik has started a series dedicated to
experimental female musicians and composers. Only one release so far, but
I'm curious what the future will bring.
And why oh why, is "The Gift" released in the "Archival" series. Is it old
compositions or so┤mething like that?
Finally. Wouldn't it be cool if Tzadik made a "Live" series??? (ah, Naked
City...) It's seems they have slowly started with first Ruins and now Rovo.
Those are the only live CD on Tzadik right?
But yeah, "Clearing". One of best solo guitar reocrds I can think of.

there's also about a hundred Masada discs, more or less. and unless I'm
really confused, the Rovo disc not only isn't out yet, but it's not being

Right, and Ruins isn't even released yet as well. I'm just getting over

If anybody goes to the Rovo show, please post comments. Nobody made it to

Lots of stuff...
Also some older CDs/records I hadn't listened to in a while.
Terry Bozzio, Drawing The Circle
Mad, mad, mad solo drumming...
Missing Persons, Color In Your Life
One of my all-time fave pop/rock records.
John Zorn / Michihiro Sato, Ganryu Island
I used to just find this amusing to listen to, but now I've actually discovered
there's more to it
Pantera, Far Beyond Driven
Just love the power on this one...
Naked City, Torture Garden
This one just puts me into a different world - after listening to it I usually
feel as if I was on drugs...
Munadjat Yulchieva, World Network Vol. 38
Still love this woman's voice. It's magic!
Huun-Huur-Tu, The Orphan's Lament
Very good traditional Mongolian music / throat-singing.
Iannis Xenakis, Chamber Music 1955 - 1990
I'm still amazed at some of the sounds Xenakis got out of those instruments.

DEPECHE MODE Exciter
Dream On (single)
Only when I lose Myself (single)
Ultra
Songs of Faith and Devotion
oh, picked up the latest TRICKY CD BLOWBACK. Anyone into TRICKY here. This
album is way too pop, and well, in my opinion is very good. I enjoyed
ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES (with some New York Downtown players like Marc

BLOWBACK is algo good.

I have all of their albums, and couldn't possibly pick one as being my

But do you also know:
Music for the masses?
101 live?
Violator?
I can recommend those...
Also I think their very 1st album was very good - for the time...
